Images Vevey is the most important visual arts biennial in Switzerland. Every second year, the lakeside city of Vevey throws a one-of-its-kind event: the Images Vevey biennial is a true open-air museum and a highly regarded platform for Swiss and international artists. The biennial produces unseen site-specific outdoor monumental photography installations and proposes numerous indoor exhibitions.
Images Vevey is also an opportunity to present the winning projects of its international photography competition: the Grand Prix Images Vevey, one of Europe's most important production grants.
Besides, Images Vevey runs a permanent space called L’Appartement – Espace Images Vevey and its own publishing house Editions Images Vevey, both promoting works by upcoming talents or confirmed artists.
In 2021, Images Vevey co-produced a special edition of its festival in Sicily (Italy) in order to share its network and experience in the field of outdoor art installations and to develop the architectural and cultural potential of the uniquely inspiring city of Gibellina.
Images Vevey is continually seeking to develop collaborations with other important institutions as Aperture Foundation (New York), Fondation Beyeler (Basel), MEP (Paris), Institut pour la photographie (Lille), Kyotographie (Japan) and many more.
