EVA International is Ireland’s Biennial of Contemporary Art, based in Limerick in the mid-west of Ireland. Established in 1977, EVA is the country’s largest visual art event and one of its longest running visual arts organisations. It regularly works with artists, guest curators, and partner organisations to develop and deliver an ambitious programme of artistic encounters, exhibition presentations, education projects, and public events that are designed to be responsive to current social and political concerns. EVA’s curatorial alumni includes Jan Hoet (1994), Rosa Martinez (2000), Katerina Gregos (2006), Koyo Kouoh (2016), and Inti Guerrero (2018). EVA is a member of the IBA (International Biennial Association).
