Çiğdem Mazlum Yıldız (b. 1983, Ankara) started working in Turkish Radio Television (TRT) as an assistant while still a student at Ankara University’s Department of Radio TV and Cinema. Yıldız has worked as a freelance filmmaker for feature films and documentaries, and as as a script writer for TRT’s educational films, as well as with esteemed filmmaker Barış Pirhasan including on the feature film Kurtuluş Son Durak. Her films include the short Scent of Time (2008), the documentaries Güneşe Açılan Eller (2009), Dema Bezar (2009), and Zamanın Manzarası (2010), and the feature film screenplay Yarını Hatırlıyorum (2012). She currently works on documentaries for Al Jazeera Turk as a director and producer.
