Parsons School of Design questions traditional career trajectories. That why this world-leading art and design school offers programs that enable individuals from any background to turn their passion for design into a profession, at any time. Our intensive, flexible professional degree programs blend rigorous training and hands-on experience to open the door to design careers.

Students in Parsons’ Associate in Applied Science (AAS) programs in New York City enter as professionals from diverse backgrounds — lawyers, writers, teachers, administrators, and more. About a year and a half later, they emerge as fashion designers, fashion merchandisers, graphic artists, and interior designers versed in the language, process, and technology of their chosen fields.

These Associate’s degrees are best suited to students with college experience who are prepared for rapid immersion in a professional course of design study. Programs are flexible, with evening and online class options, and can be completed full-time or part-time, in 2–4 semesters.
