Goldsmiths is hiring a Director of its new contemporary art gallery. The Gallery is currently under construction, and is estimated to open January of 2018. The Turner Prize winning architectural collective Assemble has designed the 1,000 square-meter Gallery, and we expect it to become an important new space for contemporary art in London.

We are looking for an ambitious Director who will build a distinctive, innovative and internationally respected programme of exhibitions, residencies and events. Appointed to the Art Department, you will have responsibility for designing the programme and raising funds to support it and Gallery operations. You will be supported in this by the Art Department and an Advisory Committee.

You will be an arts professional with a strong curatorial background and a willingness to work collaboratively. This includes developing and delivering contemporary art exhibitions and related programming to an international standard. A record of innovative exhibition making, and proven record of fundraising will be assets. Goldsmiths is strongly committed to diversity and widening participation.
