The School of Art + Art History of the University of Florida presents two lecture series this fall featuring prominent thinkers and practitioners in the field of art.

These events are public forums fostering greater understanding of contemporary art and the issues that inspire those who create and reflect upon visual culture today. The lectures offer the community at large an important opportunity for dialogue about contemporary culture in relation to national and international trends. In addition to giving public lectures, our visitors engage with students through round table discussion, group critiques and studio visits, forming a critical component of the educational experience at The University of Florida’s College of the Arts.

The School of Art + Art History’s recent visiting speakers have included Alexander Alberro, Carol Armstrong, Geoffrey Batchen, Holland Cotter, Mark Dion, Michael Fried, Dan Graham, Eleanor Heartney, Pablo Helguera, Pamela M. Lee, Nicolás Guagnini, Warren Lehrer, Walid Raad, Mary Sheriff, Hamza Walker, Lawrence Weschler, Susan Vogel, and Rebecca Zorach.

All events are free and non-ticketed.
Lectures begin at 6pm (unless otherwise noted).
