September 2–4, 2016

The Factory of Art and Design
Sundholmsvej 46 København S
2300 Copenhagen

Under the title Crosscuts Alt_Cph16 emphasizes contemporary art’s ability to create new intersections between itself and it’s surroundings.

The walls are torn down and society invited in, when Råderum together with the invited artists challenge the conventional formats of an art fair, an exhibition or a project space.

Rather than being confined to closed cubes the participants are defined as platforms and initiatives shaped by and interacting with their local society and context.

Alt_Cph16 creates a situation, where production, exchange and co-creation is in focus, and where art is zigzaging between people, places and disciplines. The event is produced along the way with the audience as co-producers, and the space is expanded when blending in with the local neighborhood surrounding the production hall.

Alt_Cph16 Crosscuts is curated by Charlotte bagger Brandt and Amalie Frederiksen from Råderum.
