FINISHED GOODS WAREHOUSE brings together 56 of New York’s most talented young artists from the Columbia University Visual Arts and Sound Arts MFA classes of 2016 and 2017. Presented in the “finished goods warehouse” of the former Pfizer plant in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the title of the show riffs on the exhibition’s site within the plant and also alludes to the nature of an exhibition as the event that marks the culmination of a complex creative process.

Unlike the goods that once rolled off the Pfizer assembly lines, the works in this exhibition are far from uniform and their appearances are anything but standardized. They manifest the diverse interests and vocabularies of this set of artists and the ideas they have developed through their research, experimentation, and conversation. Spanning painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, and sound installation, the works also move across and between mediums and modes of production. The “finished goods” of this exhibition collectively mark the results of each artist’s innovation, yet each inevitably bears its own chemistry and valence, the result of many distinct formulations.

Featuring works by: Joeun Aatchim, Michal Alpern, Alice Baird, Dana Buhl, Lucy Lord Campana, Andrew Cannon, Jenny Cho, Dani Dobkin, Serra Victoria Bothwell Fels, Devra Fox, ektor garcia, Geronimo, Nash Glynn, Maggie Goldstone, Allison Janae Hamilton, Ilana Yacine Harris-Babou, Taylor Ashby Hawkins / Brian Sharrock, Mike Hewson, Duy Hoàng, Brooke Holloway, Iris Yirei Hu, Cary Hulbert, Juntae TeeJay Hwang, Bryan Jabs, Kim Junsung, Coby Kennedy, Tali Keren, Rola Khayyat, Jonah King, Emily Kloppenburg, Peter LaBier, Filip Lav, Alex McTigue, Julia Medynska, Pablo Montealagre, Cy Morgan, Justin Dale Olerud, Rocío Olivares, Jenna Basso Peitrobon, Adam Liam Rose, Meredith Sands, Emily Ludwig Shaffer, Chatori Shimizu, Fank Spigner, Michael Stablein, Jr., Rachel Stern, Sara Stern, Alex Strada, Dylan Vandenhoeck, Kristin Walsh, Cameron Welch, Derick Whitson, Bryan McGovern Wilson, Jiwoon Yoon, Zou Zhao (Xi Xi), José Delgado Zúñiga
