We are pleased to announce that Goldsmiths, University of London, is launching a new one year full-time MA in Artists’ Film for the 2016/17 academic year, and applications are now open.
About MA Artists’ Film
The programme will focus on the development of student’s own film, video or moving image project (as understood in a Fine Art context) together with:
–an intensive critical studies course
–technical skills training
–a unique professional development programme, enabling students to work in the professional art world
As well as Goldsmiths‘ having the most accomplished and significant concentration of artist filmmakers of any Fine Art programme in Europe, students will have access to high quality resources including studios, editing suites, sound studios, film equipment and first-rate technical support.
Students will cover the following modules: Methodologies of Artists’ Film, History and Theory of Artists’ Film and Professional Development.
Entry requirements
–An undergraduate degree of at least upper second class standard in Art or Film, or equivalent
–Evidence of moving image work
–A project proposal the student would like to develop, through participation on the programme
–IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in the written test and no individual test lower than 6.0)
