The RA Schools is a contemporary school of art offering free postgraduate level study. We are now seeking applications for our 2016 intake of students.
About our unique programme
Focusing on the professional education of artists, the programme at the RA Schools provides an open, informed and critical environment for participants to develop their practice, contribute to dialogue and exchange ideas.
– Our programme comprises three years of full-time studio-based study.
– There are no fees and we are able to contribute to the cost of living through student bursaries.
– Studying at the RA Schools offers the opportunity to be part of a strong community of artists. Our core tutors are active artists, and we call on a number of practitioners from diverse disciplines to contribute.
– The small number of students ensures a highly participative and collaborative environment in which individual practice is subject to sustained discussion.
– Professional practice opportunities include international residencies, exchanges, teaching opportunities and exhibiting work at the RA.
Who we are looking for
