LUCA School of Arts organises open days for its MA programmes in arts and design. LUCA School of Arts is the only college in Flanders exclusively dedicated to art and architecture, making it unique in the region. The art school combines the strengths and expertise of five renowned Flemish higher education institutions for art and architecture spread across Brussels, Ghent, Genk and Leuven.
More than 4,000 students can choose from in excess of 30 programmes in Audiovisual Arts & Techniques, Architecture, Interior Design & Construction, Music & Drama and Visual Arts & Design. LUCA School of Arts offers both professional and academic Bachelor, Master and Postgraduate degrees.
Master programmes in Visual and Audiovisual Arts
LUCA School of Arts offers a Master in Audiovisual Arts in Brussels and Genk and a Master in Visual Arts in Brussels, Genk and Ghent.
A Master’s program is a one-year, full-time academic course oriented at bringing students to an advanced level of knowledge and skills, necessary for the autonomous exercise of the arts or sciences, or for the application of scientific or artistic knowledge in the independent practice of a profession. For some students, the Master’s degree might be a step towards post-academic degrees or a PhD.
In Brussels, Master students specialise as artists and designers in Animation Film, Film, Photography, Information Design, Graphic Storytelling, or Fine Art. In Genk, specialisations include Animation Film, Communication & Media Design, Film, and Photography. In Ghent, Master students specialise as artists and designers in Graphic Design, Textile Design, or Fine Art.

DOC NOMADS
DOC NOMADS European Master Course is a two-year-long documentary filmmaking program course taught in English and delivered by three European institutions: LUCA School of Arts, Campus Sint-Lukas (Brussels); Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (Lisbon); and the consortium leader, the University of Theatre and Film Arts (Budapest).
DOC NOMADS aims at developing students’ basic skills in techniques, fieldwork, and writing, as well as their creative filmmaking and managing skills in an international production environment within the framework of a truly integrated training. This is the only film program supported by the Erasmus Mundus program of the European Commission. Prospective students have to go through an admission process and may apply for scholarships to cover travel costs and other expenses.
