Alter Studio is a summer academy situated at the heart of Paris, in St. Germain-des-Prés, within the prestigious academy of the Beaux-arts of Paris.
At the intersection of artistic, narrative, curatorial and theoretical practices, Alter Studio is structured as a collective and individual experience. It seeks to recompose and represent realities that resist forms of standardization linked to globalization.
The program involves artists, curators, writers and authors in various fields and media. Up to 20 participants are invited to share a space of artistic experimentation and thought production in one of the most diverse cultural capitals in the world.
Structured as a series of conversations, lectures, critical sessions and presentations, the program helps participants further and reflect on their individual projects, and contribute to a shared reflection with some of the most acclaimed artists and thinkers of our time.
Visits and introduction to some of the most vibrant areas of artistic life in Paris and their actors will also be organized.
