The Master of Fine Art at the Piet Zwart Institute is pleased to announce Studios Open, an occasion during Art Rotterdam week for visitors to see the work of emerging artists in their studios and engage directly with them about their practices.

In addition to opening their doors to the public, the artists will present THIS ISN’T A SENTENCE, a durational program of performances, readings, conversations, songs, and screenings.

While you are in the area why not take a stroll down Pickle Street, a display of work by current MFA artists in the courtyard? And please feel welcome to drop off and pick up items at our Free Shop.

Featuring: Sol Archer, Niels Bekkema, Sighle Bhreathnach-Cashell, Clara Johansson Borg, Tiffin Breen, Susanna Browne, Madison Bycroft, Seecum Cheung, Raluca Croitoru, Mat Do, Michael Fitzgerald, Daniel Fogarty, Tracy Hanna, Mitchell Kehe, Hunter Longe, Katherine MacBride, Alice Mendelowitz, Kari Robertson, Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki, Natalia Sorzano, Sriwhana Spong, and Angharad Williams.

The two-year Master of Fine Art program at the Piet Zwart Institute foregrounds the reciprocal articulation of research, practice, and professionalization. It considers critical reflection, debate, and action as integral to self-directed artistic research and practice, and it fosters professional development for emerging artists through exposure to key actors and influences in the field of contemporary art, professional guidance and workshops, and exhibition and public programming opportunities for presenting ideas and work to wider audiences.

The Master of Fine Art is accepting applications. For more information on how to apply click here.
