The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) seeks exceptional artists, designers, and scholars for full-time tenured or tenure-track positions in a variety of disciplines to join the ranks of its renowned faculty.
Open searches for full-time faculty with submission deadlines in December 2014 and January 2015 include:
– Faculty in Art Education, endowed professorship
– Full-time faculty in Art History, Modern and Contemporary Art in East Asia or the Middle East
– Full-time faculty in Contemporary Practices
– Full-time faculty in Fashion Design
– Full-time faculty in Film, Video, New Media, and Animation
– Full-time faculty in Liberal Arts, Cultural Scholar – Director of Academic Affairs for Diversity and Inclusion
Individuals who are conversant in contemporary practices, committed to teaching at the college level, and interested in shaping the next generation of artists and scholars as part of SAIC’s stimulating intellectual environment are encouraged to apply. Rank and salary are competitive with peer institutions and reflect candidates’ professional standing in their fields, particular areas of scholarship or practice, and teaching experience. International applicants will be considered, and some relocation funds may be provided. All positions begin August 2015.
