Albright College’s Freedman Gallery will present William Pergl, Why Is Nowhere Like That, a solo exhibition of work by Milwaukee-based artist William Pergl. The exhibition will be on view in the Main Gallery from August 21 to October 9.

Pergl translates and elevates urban structures and objects—cell phone towers, fire hydrants, construction signs—into lyrical and rhythmic forms that investigate the disconnection between the digital and physical realms.

An opening reception will take place on August 28 from 5 to 7pm with a lecture by the artist presented on October 9 from 4 to 5pm in Klein Lecture Hall. A full-color, comprehensive catalogue will accompany the exhibition.
