Kunsthalle Zürich is one of the leading institutions of international importance for the presentation and communication of contemporary art. As of November 1, or as agreed on, we are looking for an individual to fill the position of Director of Kunsthalle Zürich.
Candidates should demonstrate the following qualities:
– Profound knowledge of the contemporary art scene
– An instinct for the development of art in its social context
– A vision of communicating art through exhibitions, publications and other formats to a local and international public
– Competence in directing and motivating a dynamic team
– Experience in programming and the realization of exhibitions and leading an exhibition institution.
– Dedication to finding donors and sponsors, winning their support and gaining their long-term loyalty.
– Willingness to assist in the positioning of the Löwenbräu Kunstareal in its local and international art context and openness to the collaboration and integration with other partners of Zurich’s cultural landscape.
– Ability to communicate in a multilingual context (German and English)
