Celebrating the end of the school’s first year at 15, rue Fénelon, Paris College of Art is hosting an evening of exhibits and the annual fashion show in its new home in the 10th arrondissement.

The evening includes the Annual PCA Fashion Show, presided over by Barbara Bui; the culminating exhibit of the Jarvis Cocker Design Challenge; the thesis exhibition of the Photography and Communication Design departments; Illustration work; both final pieces and evidence of the creative process; Foundation’s Personal Projects; and other projects from all of the departments, on display throughout the building.

Among the highlights of the evening will be the presentation, by Barbara Bui, president of the PCA Fashion Show 2014, of the Golden Thimble prize for Best Fashion Degree Collection. Jarvis Cocker, PCA Class President of 2014, will also be in attendance to give recognition of the results of the Jarvis Cocker Design Challenge to ..seek inspiration in a defined perimeter around Paris College of Art: to see the unexpected and inspiring in what surrounds you every day.” PCA is proud to present Mr. Cocker with a Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa, this year.

In addition, this year’s event will not only be a pleasure for the eyes but the audience will also experience a new signature scent created by the famous perfume designer Jean Jacques, based on a brief developed by one of the PCA Fashion seniors. The seniors, in partnership with Takasago—the global fragrance manufacturer—formulated fragrance briefs that express the essence of their collections, and Takasago is generously producing a limited edition of the winning scent to be featured during the show.

After the fashion show is over some of Jarvis Cocker’s friends from La Fabrique Balades Sonores will be DJing. The evening will be a celebration for all and all are welcome to attend.
