For the new baccalaureate study programme Camera Arts – Photography in the contexts of art, design, media and society, we are seeking excellent and enthusiast professionals to join the faculty for teaching and research:
Senior Lecturer in Photography & Arts
Senior Lecturer in Editorial Photography & Media Design
Part-time, starting with 20% increasing to approximately 50%
Senior Lecturer in Communities & E-Cultures
Part-time, starting with 15% increasing to approximately 25%
Additional involvement in art or design research may increase the amount of employment.
Starting September 1, 2013
Successful candidates are internationally oriented practitioners in art photography, photographers focused on media design, and differentiated professionals focused on contemporary digital culture. The positions include visual photographic production, resp. digital media practices related to public spheres. Candidates are able to cultivate the progressive nature of the Camera Arts program that aims to challenge boundaries of contemporary photography. For all positions we are interested in profiled individuals who have a highly developed ability to motivate and inspire students with a strong creative practice, combined with a desire to share technical and conceptual skills.Taking a contributing role in developing an inspirational academic environment that values critical thinking, creative practice, and practice-led teaching is essential. Language skills in English and German (speech and writing) are essential. Non-German speaking candidates are expected to enhance their German language skills over time. In addition you have self-management skills and are team player.
