The Grunwald Gallery of Art is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibit SoFA Revisited: Alumni from the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts. This exhibition will open to the public with a Panel Discussion on Friday, January 11 at 4pm followed by an Opening Reception from 6 to 8pm and will be on view through Saturday, February 8.

This show will feature the work of nine alumni from the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts who have graduated within the past 15 years. Each artist has been nominated by faculty in their area based on the quality of their work and their outstanding accomplishments. “The alumni show presents a wonderful opportunity to incorporate the knowledge and experiences of former students into the ongoing conversation about art. At the same time, the work of these highly regarded alumni serves as a valuable model for our current students as they look to continue engaging the world through art post-graduation,” said Rowland Ricketts, Assistant Professor of Fine Arts at Indiana University.

The artists have gone on to have active careers exhibiting worldwide, attending residency programs abroad and as faculty members at several institutions, including the Maryland Institute College of Art, Texas Tech University and the University of Cincinnati among others. Some have formed their own businesses, producing graphic and other design materials for nationally known clients and corporations.

The artists include Carrie Dickason, BFA, textiles, 1999; Jordan Tate, MFA, Photography, 2007; Derek Parker, MFA, Sculpture, 2009; Arthur Hash, MFA, Metalsmithing and Jewelry, 2005; Stacy Elko, MFA, Printmaking, 2005; Anne Drew Potter, MFA, Ceramics, 2008; Ying Fang Shen, MFA, Digital Art, 2009; Sangram Majumdar, MFA, Painting, 2001; and Matt Griffin, BFA, Graphic Design, 2007.
