The Program in Arts Administration seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Duties will include teaching masters-level courses; supervising student research; on-going program development; and advising. This cohort-based interdisciplinary degree requires two years of theory- and practice-based coursework plus a thesis, and attracts an extraordinarily competitive field of applicants from the visual and performing arts and related academic disciplines, representing a dynamic mix of international backgrounds.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in the structure and functions of performing arts institutions, comparative cultural and public policy, and quantitative research methods; interest in cultural economics and cultural heritage are also desirable. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate; have a robustly articulated program of research; arts-related administrative experience; proficiency in teaching, and supervising student research; and demonstrable skills to build connections with local artists and cultural organizations.
