The MFA in Visual Arts low-residency full-time program, offered by The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley University, provides the ideal solution for artists, teachers, and professionals in related fields who are seeking professional advancement in the field of visual arts. The MFA program allows students, with the guidance of a faculty advisor and a studio mentor, to design their own studio and academic plans each semester. The MFA faculty includes internationally known artists and scholars.  Fia Backstrom represented Sweden in the Venice Biennale, 2011. Liz Deschenes is included in the upcoming Whitney Biennial, 2012. MFA mentors are comprised of nationally and internationally recognized artists as our low residency structure allows students to travel to work with their mentors on an on-going basis.

MFA Faculty, Student, and Alumni Highlights:

MFA Faculty member Liz Deschenes is included in the Whitney Biennial 2012

MFA Faulty member Fia Backstrom represented Sweden in the Venice Biennial 2011.
