The Royal College of Art is the only entirely postgraduate institution of university status devoted to teaching, learning, research and practice in art, design and communication.  The College has a long history of achievement in art and design education, numerous eminent graduates and a remarkable record of graduate employment.

From Autumn 2012, all four Programmes of the Fine Art School of the Royal College of Art will be housed in new, purpose-built facilities at the Battersea campus.  The RCA is now seeking to appoint to the position of Dean of Fine Art, to head the School and provide academic leadership, vision and direction.

The RCA is keen to consider applications from practising artists with a strong record of exhibiting with leading art schools, museums and galleries internationally; experienced curators in the field of Fine Art as well as academic managers and researchers.  Whatever their practice, fundamental will be their ability to define and ‘seed’ a new culture of Fine Art in Battersea underpinned by practice based research.

The role of Dean requires a minimum commitment of 3 days a week.
