ALPES – ART, LANDSCAPE, PLACE, SOUND SPACE
Certificate of Advanced Studies / 20 ECTS
http://head.hesge.ch/spip.php?rubrique47〈=en
ALPes is a research programme specialising in artistic practices in the public space.
With its invited speakers (artists, communicators, theorists) ALPes develops theoretical reflect-ion concerning art in the wider context (architecture, suburban areas, landscapes), commission typologies, new reception mechanisms and art in situ.
Thanks to its collaborative ventures with different regional social and cultural partner organisations, the programme is able to carry out full-scale experimentation in the city. In conjunction with institutions such as the Théâtre du Grütli/Grü, the cultural department of Geneva University Hospital (HUG), the City of Geneva’s Contemporary Art Foundation (FMAC) and the Schools of Architecture of Grenoble and Paris-Malaquais, the programme has defined new exploration and interaction processes between art and territory.
Keen to invent new forms of visibility for art, ALPes is a means to encounter, to confront and to debate with the city. The ALPes programme is aimed at young artists concerned with the problems of art/public space, that is, those recently graduated from a School of Art (or possessing an equivalent qualification), or Masters students. It leads to the realisation of indi¬vidual and group practical work involved with territory and the city.
Qualification awarded: Certificate of Advanced Studies (20 ECTS)
Duration: 2 semesters (i.e. 1 – 2 days per week over 28 weeks in total)
Fees: 750 CHF / 500 Euros per semester
