KKH is a one of Scandinavia’s foremost higher education institutions for the study of art and architecture, where leading domestic and foreign artists, theoreticians and architects form the teaching staff.
The professorship primarily involves teaching within the bachelor and master programs in fine arts, and development of education and planning within a wider area of digital media. Artistic research and development, joint work within KKH and some administration is included in the position. During 2009 KKH will get its first doctoral students and being a doctoral supervisor might also be part of the position.
Fundamental requirements for this professorship:
The applicant should
• be a practicing high merit artist,
• have solid knowledge of and documented dedication for artistic work in digital media,
• be well acquainted with the development in contemporary art and society in general,
• possess ability to coach, inspire and supervise students in their learning, and
• have good ability to cooperate.
The professorship is full time and artistic research and development is included in the position. The position holder will be appointed for a period of a maximum of five years. KKH may prolong this period for another five years without the post being announced vacant. Duties will begin in the fall of 2009.
