The education in fine arts is offered within a five year Masters program and within shorter programs for professional artists. The college also arranges two advanced programs in Architecture and Restoration arts.

KKH is now looking for two professors in fine arts, with two different specializations.

The first professorship has a specialization in painting. Fundamental demands for this professorship are the applicants own qualified artistry within painting, a good insight into contemporary art, and a broad circle of contacts.

The second professorship has a specialization in photo-based art. Fundamental demands for this professorship are a qualified artistry within photo-based art, a good insight into contemporary art and a broad circle of contacts. Experience of graphic art is considered an additional qualification.

The position as professor includes tutoring, research and development in the arts, to follow the development within the art field as well as in society in questions of importance for the college. Furthermore it also includes building up contacts and cooperating in various forms with the surrounding society, being a member of different decision-making bodies, and some administration.

To be qualified for an employment as professor in fine arts, the applicant must have shown both artistic and pedagogical skills.

KKH values the qualities of a balanced distribution according to sex, and an ethnical and cultural diversity.

The first professorship is to begin at the earliest March 1, 2006. The second professorship is to begin August 1, 2006. The employments are full time and appointed for a period of five years. KKH has the right to prolong this period with an additional five years, without the professorship being announced vacant.
