Vjenceslav Richter (Omilje, 1917–Zagreb, 2002) was one of the key figures on the Croatian art scene in the second half of the 20th century, and his artistic creativity occupies an important place in European and global art history. One of the founders of the EXAT 51 group, and an active participant in the international New Tendencies movement, he was the author of many architectural projects for public and residential buildings and designs in the area of urbanism.

The exhibition Rebel with a Vision presents Richter’s impressive opus, in which he provided answers to many questions in the area of spatial-plastic research, i.e. the potential for synthesis in architecture, sculpture and painting, springing from experimentation which he intended to serve the purpose of forming a more human, better quality of life in society as a whole.
