Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, Graphic Design Program
The Graphic Design Program seeks visionary educator-practitioners who are deeply connected to contemporary and emerging practices. Successful candidates will have an expansive notion of graphic design, and be hybrid creatives with a desire to foster interdisciplinary linkages between graphic design and other academic programs such as interaction design, illustration, and architecture.
Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, Interior Design Program
The Interior Design Program seeks candidates with experience as an interior design professional and academic, with a demonstrated trajectory of experimental, research-oriented practice. Successful candidates will have expertise in one or more areas of interior design, including lighting design, building technology, representation, fabrication and materiality, computation, and smart systems.
Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, Visual Studies Program
The Visual Studies Program seeks candidates specializing in the history and theory of photographic media. The successful candidate will have an exceptional teaching record at the college level and will also demonstrate experience in teaching art history and theory through active student engagement. We are particularly interested in applicants with a scholarly background that supplements our current program strengths, such as those who approach photographic media with a focus on contemporary cultures, or with a geographic specialization in Africa, Latin America, or East Asia.
Chair, Open Rank, Sculpture, Individualized, and Community Arts Programs
CCA is seeking candidates for a full-time, open rank position for the Chair of Sculpture, Individualized, and Community Arts Programs (SICA) to begin summer 2018. The Chair will work with the Dean of Fine Arts and fellow faculty leaders across the college to forge a new vision for a 21st century art education made manifest in a unified San Francisco campus to be completed in the next 4–5 years.
