Don’t miss your chance to participate in Artissima 2017, Italy’s contemporary art fair!

A central event for national and international collectors and art lovers and global press, Artissima attracts over 50,000 visitors, including 5,000 contemporary art collectors and 1,300 accredited journalists. 

The 24thedition of the fair will take place from November 2 (preview) to November 5, 2017 in Turin and will showcase experimental young talents alongside outstanding galleries and internationally recognized artists that have shaped the history of contemporary art. Ilaria Bonacossa, newly appointed director, working with Artissima’s staff, has nominated a new team of international curators to develop specific sections of the fair and a series of special projects of talks, lectures and performances that confirm the fair’s experimental and curatorial nature.  

The seven different sections:

Main Section
that gathers the most important contemporary galleries active on the international art scene 

New Entries
devoted to the most interesting young galleries opened since 2012 and taking part in Artissima for the first time

Dialogue
reserved exclusively to emerging contemporary galleries applying with either a monographic presentation or a dialogue between the works of maximum 3 artists

Art Editions
hosting limited editions, prints and multiples by contemporary artists

Present Future 
Curated section focusing on young artists (upon invitation)
*curated by Cloé Perrone (coordinator), Samuel Gross, João Laia, Charlotte Laubard

Back to the Future
Curated section presenting museum quality monographic booths focusing on works realised between 1980–89
*curated by Anna Daneri (coordinator), Zasha Colah, Dora García, Chus Martinez

Disegni (new)
curated section dedicated to drawings, Disegni celebrates an artistic discipline capable of expressing the immediacy and the process behind contemporary creative gesture. Created not exclusively on paper, drawings exist in a suspended space between idea and finished art-work.

The 24th edition of Artissima is staged thanks to the support of the three bodies that own the brand name, together with the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, Compagnia di San Paolo and the Camera di commercio di Torino. Artissima is organised by Artissima Srl, a company established in 2008 to manage the fair’s artistic and commercial relations.
