Michael Kohn Gallery is thrilled to announce its participation in this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach. The Kohn Gallery booth will showcase historical paintings, collage and sculpture from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s by artists from California. Historical artworks in a range of media by Joe Goode, Wallace Berman, Larry Bell and Bruce Conner will be shown in the booth to underscore California’s unique take on Light and Space, sculpture, assemblage and Pop art. A second, but equally compelling, focus for our booth showcases work by California Pop Surrealists Camille Rose Garcia and Mark Ryden. Finally, new work by Simmons & Burke, Ryan McGinness, and the gallery’s newest edition, Retna, will also be present in the booth. Retna, whose recent solo show at the Michael Kohn Gallery met with enormous success, will unveil two never-before-seen paintings made exclusively for the fair.
