GINNUNGAGAP / PAVILION OF BELIEF takes shape in an apartment and courtyard between Giardini and Arsenale. Translated as “gaping gap” or “seeming emptiness”, Ginnungagap was a vast windy emptiness that existed before the ordering of the world.

GINNUNGAGAP / PAVILION OF BELIEF reflects on the creation of life and its initial chaotic circumstances and methods such as religion and belief operating as an attempt to gain a new order and orientation.

Galerie im Regierungsviertel is a module fed by a group of artists, curators and others. Concerns with access, involvement and intervention are each a priority for its initiation. Galerie im Regierungsviertel promotes contributions that critically and sensually confront existential phenomena of our life.

Galerie im Regierungsviertel is located in the area of government administration (Regierungsviertel) in Berlin Mitte, between the Federal Press Conference Center and the Paul-Löbe-Haus (offices for members of the German Parliament).
