Bonhams & Butterfields announces the Spring 2007 Modern and Contemporary art sales. Held on May 22, 2007 in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Modern and Contemporary Art sale includes important artwork from 1960′s collectors Eugenia and James Butler in Los Angeles. The Modern and Contemporary sale begins at 10:00am and the inaugural Made in California sale begins at 3:00pm.
Highlights from the Modern and Contemporary sale include works by Karel Appel, Jean Arp, Donald Baechler, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Herbert Bayer, Forrest Clemenger Bess, Bernard Buffet, Alexander Calder, Francesco Clemente, Dale Chihuly, Christo, Robert Crumb, Lyonel Feininger, Tsuguharu Foujita, Michael Goldberg, Adolph Gottlieb, Etienne Hadju, Patrick Heron, Yves Klein, Wifredo Lam, Andre Lanskoy, Verena Loewensberg, Gustave Loiseau, Robert Motherwell, James Nares, Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, Martial Raysse, Tony Scherman, Bob Thompson, Maurice Utrillo, Victor Vasarely, Maria Helena Viera da Silva, Andy Warhol, Fritz Winter, Lisa Yuskavage, and Francisco Zúñiga along with a host of other iconic artists.
