Christie’s Education is the only academic institution wholly owned by an auction house. As such we offer a unique student experience that cannot be found elsewhere. Our programs have been developed to provide focused and intensive training for students looking for a career in the art world. They include exclusive behind-the-scenes access, hands-on learning and an integrated art world internship.
Christie’s Education is committed to expanding opportunities to students from all backgrounds. In support of this, The Christie’s Education Trust in conjunction with Christie’s Education, New York is offering a joint tuition and living expenses scholarship for one student in each of the following master’s programs commencing in September 2019: MA Art, Law and Business, and MA Modern and Contemporary Art and the Market.
Christie’s Education, New York will waive the full tuition and fees for the relevant program and Christie’s Education Trust will make available a living expenses award known as the Reginald Browne Award. The award provides a total of 30,000 USD towards the cost of accommodation and other living expenses during the program.
This scholarship will be awarded to candidates who demonstrate financial need and are committed to diversity and inclusivity in the art world. Candidates will be assessed on the following requirements:
–Application form
–Resume
–Financial documentation for means testing
–A 1,000 to 1,500-word essay
–A phone interview by invitation only (please note that not all candidates will be invited to interview).
Candidates for this award must have completed their application for admission and interviewed by no later than April 30, 2019 in order to be considered.
