The opening of the 56th Venice Biennale will mark the first edition of The Venetian Blinds: Artist-run Bands. Conceived and produced by Palazzo Grassi-Punta della Dogana (Venice), Le Consortium (Dijon) and Silencio (Paris), it is the first music festival entirely dedicated to rock bands founded by visual artists. Its motto: “This is the price to pay to keep up a certain idea of behaviour, a certain idea of entertainment. The Venetian Blinds is on tour!”
