Kunsthall Trondheim seeks a Director. The company is owned by Trondheim municipality and South-Trøndelag County Council. Art Hall opens in the fall of 2016 in new reconditioned facilities right in the centre of the city. Kunsthall Trondheim will be a central venue for contemporary art, it is intended to develop and display high-quality contemporary art on an international level.
Kunsthall Trondheim, Norway is to be an arts reference point locally, nationally and internationally. A core part of their job will be to develop the interest and the art expertise with a wide audience. The Director is going to curate exhibitions and creating a varied and ambitious program that are of a high quality. The Director should have in-depth knowledge of the Nordic and international contemporary art scene as well as high arts expertise. The Director will need to communicate in Norwegian or a minimum of a Nordic language. The Director will have a central role in the city’s cultural life.
