GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea and Castello di Rivoli – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea are looking for one single director, who will be expected to contribute to the international strategic development projects of both museums.
Well aware of the role the two museums play in the cultural system, City of Turin and Regione Piemonte, their main stakeholders have decided to introduce an integrated and coordinated cultural management policy between GAM and Castello di Rivoli.
Procedures to integrate Castello di Rivoli within the Fondazione Torino Musei are already established in order to create one of the most important international centres of modern and contemporary arts in a place historically acknowledged for its cultural vocation.
The forthcoming Director will define the artistic development strategy of both museums, coordinating their programmes and activities, while considering the different historical background that characterize these two different entities. The Director will be in charge to curate both collections, draw the cultural and exhibitions program and manage the institutional and international relations.
The appointment will cover a period of five years.
The appointment procedure will be managed by PRAXI S.p.A and applications must be sent here by 14 January 2015. Full information and the call for applications are also available from the following websites:
