The 8th edition of ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair will take place from November 12 to 15, 2020 at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

This year ART021 adopts a new color combination for its logo and sets sail once again. After 7 years of progressive development, ART021 will reinforce its commitment to leveraging local recourses with a global perspective, supporting Chinese contemporary art and cultivating new generations of domestic collectors, and sparing no efforts to promote the development of the art market.

In 2020, the sudden coronavirus outbreak has brought us a difficult start. As one of the most important art fairs in Asia, ART021 ought to step out and provide supports to galleries that are also deeply affected. We hereby decide to waive the application fee for all participating galleries from China. Let’s go hand-in-hand and we shall overcome tough times together!

ART021 is currently accepting applications for Main Galleries and Approach.

Main Galleries is the main sector of the fair, focusing on 21st century contemporary art.

Approach highlights important emerging galleries. Exhibitors in this sector features either solo presentations or projects (no more than 3 artists) with a curatorial approach.

How to apply
Please visit www.art021.org and submit the application online

Deadline: April 30, 2020

Applications are only accepted from commercial galleries that hold more than three exhibitions each year in their own exhibition spaces. Any individual or institution that only conducts art work transactions will not be eligible to apply.
