Art Video Nights
Running from December 5 to 8, Art Video Nights will showcase 60 film and video works on the 7,000-square-foot outdoor projection wall of the Frank Gehry-designed New World Center in SoundScape Park. Presented by participating galleries of Art Basel Miami Beach, the program features works by artists including Julieta Aranda, Daniel Arsham, Guy Ben-Ner, Theaster Gates, Jesper Just, Mauricio Lupini, Ryan McGinley, Rashaad Newsome, Robin Rhode, Sam Samore, Adam Shecter, and Hu Xiangqian. Art Video Nights will also feature a special dusk-to-dawn screening of the 12-hour long film Bliss by Ragnar Kjartansson, presented by Art Basel in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) North Miami and the New World Center on Saturday, December 8 at 6pm. Art Video is organized in association with David Gryn, Director of London’s Artprojx.

Art Public 
For the second year running, Art Public will turn Collins Park into an outdoor exhibition space with large-scale sculpture, video, installation and live performance by artists such as Miguel Andrade Valdez, Mark Hagen, Teresa Margolles, Raul Mourao, Dave McKenzie, Adam Pendleton, Ry Rocklen, Ugo Rondinone and Gary Simmons. Produced in collaboration with the Bass Museum of Art, the Art Basel Miami Beach sector includes works from the show’s galleries, installed from ground level within the park to flying along the Miami Beach skyline above. Art Public is free and open to the public from Dec 5 to 9, 24 hours, and is curated by Christine Y. Kim, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art (LACMA), Co-founder, Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND).

Art Public Opening Night
Art Public Opening Night will take place from 8:30 to 10pm on Wednesday, December 5 with a program of special performances by Jason and Alicia Hall Moran and Brandon RossMy Barbarian, and Alex Israel.

Art Film
This year’s Art Film screening features a presentation of the feature-length documentary film Painters Painting (1973) by Emile de Antonio on the New York art scene from 1940 to 1970. The cult art-world film includes conversations with artists such as Willem de Kooning, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, Barnett Newman, and Robert Motherwell in their studios. Art Film is selected by This Brunner. The screening takes place at the Colony Theatre, Miami Beach on Friday, December 7 at 8pm and will be introduced by Mark Rappolt, Editor, ArtReview. Free public access, but seating is limited.
