Professorship for performative arts

The Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig is inviting applications for the following position which is available from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2027: W3 Professorship for performative arts (m/f/other). The position is assigned to the main course of study in the field on media art and supervises a project class for performative arts, thus promoting an experimental examination of current trends in contemporary art.

The Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst / Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB) is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges of art in Europe. The HGB offers four Diploma degree programmes: Book Design / Graphic Design / Photography / Painting / Printmaking / Media Art.

Each degree programme is divided into a two-year foundation course and a three-year main course. These are flanked by a broad and intense range of theory classes. The HGB also offers a Meisterschüler programme (postgraduate studies for artists) in all subject areas as well as the master’s degree course Cultures of the Curatorial.
