1. Harpo Foundation is pleased to announce 11 new grants that will support the production of new work by under-recognized artists in the United States and internationally.

This latest distribution of funds concludes a two-year thematic focus that has sought to explore the relationship between art and site in a dematerializing world.
2. Starting in 2012, Harpo Foundation will use a new 2-step application process to review proposals submitted by non-profit institutions and fiscal sponsors who seek support on behalf of under recognized visual artists. Eligible candidates interested in applying for a grant must first submit a Letter of Inquiry online by February 1, 2012.

3. The deadline to apply for Harpo Foundation’s Native American Artist Fellowships at the Vermont Studio Center is February 15, 2012. This fellowship program has been established to support the development of visual artists and the potential for inter-cultural dialog. Annually, two Native American artists living in the U.S. will receive a one-month residency at the Vermont Studio Center, which will include room and board, a private studio, and a 500 USD travel stipend.
