2. Starting in 2012, Harpo Foundation will use a new 2-step application process to review proposals submitted by non-profit institutions and fiscal sponsors who seek support on behalf of under recognized visual artists. Eligible candidates interested in applying for a grant must first submit a Letter of Inquiry online by February 1, 2012.

Visit Harpo’s website at www.harpofoundation.org for more information about the Foundation’s past grant recipients, proposal guidelines, and process.

3. The deadline to apply for Harpo Foundation’s Native American Artist Fellowships at the Vermont Studio Center is February 15, 2012. For applications and additional information about the fellowship program, visit www.vermontstudiocenter.org, or contact David Grozinsky at 802 635-2727 at the Vermont Studio Center.

This fellowship program has been established to support the development of visual artists and the potential for inter-cultural dialog. Annually, two Native American artists living in the U.S. will receive a one-month residency at the Vermont Studio Center, which will include room and board, a private studio, and a 500 USD travel stipend.

Please email all inquiries and questions to Julie Deamer, Executive Director, at jdeamer [at] harpofoundation.org.
