ART HK 12, sponsored by Deutsche Bank, will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 17–20 May 2012. In just four years ART HK has emerged as the leading art fair in Asia, and is fast becoming a key fixture on the international art calendar. Recognized as the gateway between Asia and the West, with its position as the financial centre of Asia and 0% tax on the import and export of art, Hong Kong is an unparalleled location for a major destination art fair in the region. ART HK’s feature gallery sections ART FUTURES and ASIA ONE provide the Fair with a quality and geographical diversity of art works not available anywhere else in the world.

Accompanied by an extensive talks program and a packed VIP program of openings and events, ART HK is a much needed platform for networking and cultural exchange between curators, artists, collectors and gallerists from Asia and the West.

ART HK 12 is currently accepting applications to our two feature sections: ART FUTURES and ASIA ONE. Application forms outlining application procedures and exhibiting costs for each of these sections may be downloaded from the ART HK website by clicking HERE.

ART FUTURES is open to applications from all art galleries established in or after 2004. Applications will only be considered for single- or two-artist presentations of artists 35 years old or less at the time of application.

ASIA ONE is open to applications from all art galleries who have a permanent exhibition space in greater Asia (broadly defined as including Turkey to New Zealand and the Middle East to the Indian sub-continent). These galleries will present solo shows of artists of Asian origin (according to the above definition) at ART HK 12. The artist may currently be living and working any part of the world.

Both feature sections are essential elements of ART HK, and have been extremely well received by collectors and arts professionals alike:
‘I’m impressed with the quality and diversity of work at this year’s fair, and I’m excited to see many emerging artists in the new ASIA ONE section. It is a very dynamic and interesting time for the art scene in Asia.’
Richard Chang, Collector & ART HK Advisory Board Member

‘ART FUTURES and ASIA ONE were great sections of the Fair, keeping it fresh and a place to see new galleries and new artists. That’s why experienced collectors come to the Fair – to get exposed to new things.’
Paris Neilson, Collection Manager, White Rabbit Collection

We have already received a high volume of applications, and are experiencing unprecedented interest from top level international galleries. The FINAL DEADLINE for all ART FUTURES and ASIA ONE applications is 23 December, so APPLY NOW!

ART HK is produced in collaboration with Art Basel.
