The range of artistic and cultural events in Paris during FIAC week is again characterised by its exceptional richness. Among the highlights of the autumn season: the monographic exhibitions of Edvard Munch and Yayoi Kusama at the Centre Pompidou, Diane Arbus at the Jeu de Paume, Ryan Trecartin and the sculptural works of Georg Baselitz at the Musée d’art moderne de la Ville de Paris, Les Frères Chapuisat at the Centre culturel Suisse, Jesper Just at the MAC/VAL and Mircea Cantor at the Credac in Ivry. Also noteworthy is the presentation of three major collections: the Stein family collection at the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais in an exhibition entitled Matisse, Cézanne, Picasso L’aventure des Stein, that of Thomas Olbricht at the Maison Rouge, and WYSIWYG What You See Is What You Get, at the Fondation Rosenblum & Friends.
The prestige and variety of the exhibitions on view in Parisian galleries during the FIAC also contributes to this effervescence. Gerhard Richter at Marian Goodman; Claude Lévêque at Kamel Mennour; Simon Hantaï at Zlotowski; Diana Thater at Ghislaine Hussenot; Albert Oehlen at Nathalie Obadia; Jim Shaw at Praz Delavallade; Xavier Veilhan at Emmanuel Perrotin; Victor Brauner at Malingue; Ettore Sottsass at Downtown and Martin Szekely at Kreo, Wolfgang Tillmans at Chantal Crousel; Takashi Murakami at Perrotin, Aaron Young at Almine Rech; Alex Katz at Thaddaues Ropac and the Carte Blanche to Galleria Massimo de Carlo from Milan and London at Patrick Seguin.

OFF-SITE EXHIBITION IN THE JARDIN DES TUILERIES
For the sixth consecutive year, in collaboration with the Domaine national du Louvre et des Tuileries, FIAC will stage an outdoor exhibition located in the renowned Tuileries Garden.
The growing interest for this annual event among galleries and artists—together with the exceptional beauty of the site—has enabled us to bring together each year some twenty projects (a total of 97 since 2006), including sculptures, installations and ephemeral creations deployed in the garden’s fountains, basins, lawns, alleys and groves.
Works by Jean-Luc Moulène, Danh Vo, Lynda Benglis, Antony Gormley, Mathieu Mercier, Richard Jackson, Urs Fischer, Melik Ohanian among others, together with an architectural realisation by Jean Prouvé, the Maison Metropole (1949), will be presented in 2011.

OUTDOOR PROJECTS IN THE JARDIN DES PLANTES
FIAC is proud to announce that the Hors les Murs programme has been expanded to include a second off-site exhibition in an equally emblematic and historic Parisian venue, the Jardin des Plantes at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle. Works will be installed in the gardens themselves but also in the Menagerie, the exotic greenhouses and the exhibition galleries of the Museum itself, such as the Grand Gallery of Evolution.
Works by Alain Séchas, Mark Dion, Not Vital, José Maria Sicilia, Malachi Farrell and Renaud Auguste Dormeuil, among others, will be presented in the fascinating range of indoor and outdoor sites especially chosen for this inaugural edition, in collaboration with the Direction of the Museum and the gardens, the artists and their representatives.

CONFERENCES / PERFORMANCES
The programme Ouvertures/Openings, the product of a durable collaboration between FIAC and the Auditorium du Louvre initiated in 2008, will be held for the fourth time in October. Ouvertures/Openings 2011 presents a performance programme beyond traditional genres: three gestures of reduction involving the body, text and materials.
Performances by Dan Graham, Claude Closky, Marie Cool and Fabio Balducci in collaboration with the Auditorium of the Louvre Museum.
FIAC will present a performance by Audrey Cottin in collaboration with the Jeu de Paume; Arnaud Maguet in collaboration with the Centre Georges Pompidou, and Pierre Leguillon in collaboration with the Théâtre National de Chaillot.
Further, inventions in the performative mode together with a selection of films by artists will be presented daily at the Grand Palais Auditorium during FIAC week.
Interventions by Alexandre Singh, Jiri Kovanda and Marc Chaimowicz are programmed together with films by Abraham Cruzvillegas, Kimsooja, William Kentridge and Marlène Dumas and Jim Shaw among others.
