Seeking BA Fine Art Programme Leader

The School of Art, Design and Architecture sits within the University’s Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business. Role
The post of Programme Leader of BA Fine Art sits within the School of Art, Design and Architecture, which is located in the Roland Levinsky Building in the heart of Plymouth’s cultural quarter. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a growing Fine Art course with a vision for multi-disciplinary study across the University’s breadth of disciplines. We are looking for a practitioner/researcher to develop our local, national and international networks, alongside co-ordinating the operational management of the programme and its intersection with our MA and PhD programmes. You will be engaged in delivery across the BA Fine Art programme and post graduate supervision and teaching. In addition you will lead on recruitment of the subject. 

Person
You will already be operating as a member of a management team and have experience of teaching within an HE environment (online and in person) as well as a recognised national or international research profile as an art practitioner. 

You will have a relevant, high level subject expertise in Fine Art, curatorial practice, and related disciplines, in addition to experience of curriculum development, and understanding of quality issues and requirements in HE at undergraduate level.

As a leader in the subject you will have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of changing trends and requirements in the subject’s industrial and professional domains.
