Art Chicago, the international fair of contemporary and modern art, and NEXT: The Invitational Exhibition of Emerging Art, return April 30 – May 3, 2010, Opening Preview April 29, with a sizable roster of international participants and robust programming, panels and special exhibitions. The Opening Preview will benefit the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.

Art Chicago features 150 galleries from 55 cities and 16 countries, while NEXT presents 75 international galleries from 30 cities, including 7 Spanish galleries participating in The Spanish Edge: Young Spanish Art in Context.

30 panel programs featuring 70+ leading figures in the art world are scheduled to complement the fairs. This year’s Programming Partners are Aperture Foundation, Art Table, Humble Arts Foundation, Independent Curators International (ICI), International Fine Print Dealers Association, The Renaissance Society, Studio Chicago, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Both fairs will once take place at Chicago’s iconic Merchandise Mart, along with the Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair.
