Deadline extended
Arquine announces a deadline extension for its 23rd competition, Meeting Point, with the aim of offering those already registered more time to work on the project and inviting those who haven’t registered yet to join us in the task of thinking how the spaces where we meet could be in 2021.
After 22 years of annual competitions calling for ideas and proposals for different issues, Arquine invites you to speculate on new ways of using public space, focused on the design of a meeting point where proximity and encounter are possible again. A device, a prototype, an installation or an artifact that encourages people to meet and build trust in the celebration of the city in community. The proposal must be replicable, scalable, accessible, and inclusive, with the possibility of adaptation to diverse contexts, within a low budget and able of being quickly executed. It can be an enclosed, limited or roofed space, but you can also think of more open, flexible or dispersed proposals.
We want to invite you to think about the possibilities for rehumanizing our cities and reinventing the uses of our urban environment in creative, versatile and economical ways. To build a meeting point that will allow us to meet again.
