This year, the Berlin Summer University of the Arts offers a large mix of creative online and in-presence courses. From June to October 2021, we invite senior students, graduates, and professionals from all artistic disciplines to participate in over 29 workshops covering creative fields such as Fine Arts, Design, Music, Performing Arts, Creative Entrepreneurship, and their intersections.
An international team of lecturers and teachers will introduce you to the methods and discourse of contemporary art in a diverse and experimental way. They will passionately guide you through the process of developing your artistic voice and visual language, help to realize your ideas and share them with like-minded people by building a network that might be important for your future projects.
Our latest additions include online courses in Design (Berlin Appeals 2021—Poster Design Workshop; Writing = Design), Perception and Exploration (Exp. – Questions of Perception in Art and Science), as well as Aesthetic Transformation (Aesthetic Transformations: Inspiration Across Disciplinary Borders).
For those interested in interdisciplinary courses, workshops raising philosophical questions such as Performing Questions: Relationships in Times of Crisis, Bad Design, On Caring Coexistences, or DIRT might be the right choice.
Become part of this artistic exchange, challenge your perception, transitional and communicational skills, explore your perspectives and express yourself in workshops across a wide range of disciplines at one of the biggest and multifaceted universities of the arts in Europe.
Due to the pandemic-related measures and restrictions, we are trying to organise and provide as many online workshops as possible. Courses that are currently planned in presence can possibly also be offered online.
