Membership programme to coincide with 30th anniversary celebrations
In 2021 Frieze turns 30. To mark the occasion, Frieze will celebrate with Anniversary Sessions, a three-day digital festival that will take place February 17-19. The anniversary celebrations will also see the launch of Frieze’s new membership programme, which gives members access to a community that champions art and the debates that drive cultural conversation.
Anniversary Sessions
The three-day online festival will see a series of intimate but wide-ranging talks between some of the major writers and artists who have shaped the artistic landscape over the past three decades and touch upon some of the most important topics in art today. Participants in a series of online conversations between artists will include: Matthew Barney, Jeremy Deller, Lubaina Himid, Philippe Parreno, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kara Walker and Anicka Yi.
A festival atmosphere will be conjured by award-winning chefs and bar managers from some of Frieze’s favourite restaurants, including Dante NYC, Frankies 457 Spuntino, Locanda Locatelli, Rita’s and Roberta’s, showing us how to mix their favourite cocktails in a series of specially commissioned videos.
Closing out the programme, an acoustic set by Arlo Parks will take place on Friday evening.
