“All at once—looking back, tripping forward, standing still. All at once—plugged in, displayed, replayed, looped. All at once—planes, edges, corners. All at once—outwards, inwards, downwards, backwards. All at once—far away, close by, in motion. All at once—displaced, misplaced, replaced. All at once—everything, nothing, fleeting. All at once.”

The Yale School of Art is pleased to announce the Graphic Design MFA thesis exhibition All at Once, which launched online last week at allatonce.space.

The exhibition features work by 2021 MFA degree candidates in Graphic Design: Herdimas Anggara, Milo Bonacci, Luiza Dale, Bianca Ibarlucea, Furqan Jawed, Harin Jung, Jun Jung, Minhwan Kim, Ana Lobo, Nick Massarelli, Anezka Minarikova, Mengyi Qian, Anna Sagström, and Mianwei Wang.

All at Once brings together the work of this year’s graduating class in Graphic Design through a unique merging of the physical and the virtual of our current environment. From April 22 to April 28, a continuously evolving live feed of work was broadcast 24/7 online at allatonce.space—with previously live video feeds now archived on the exhibition website.

Exhibition concept and design by Milo Bonacci, Bianca Ibarlucea, Furqan Jawed, Jun Jung, Minhwan Kim, Mengyi Qian, Graphic Design MFAs ’21. An exhibition catalog will be published this summer, and will be available for purchase. Visit allatonce.space for more details.

The Yale School of Art’s annual MFA thesis exhibitions are the culmination of two years of intensive artistic development, showcasing the results of a studio-based education that stresses the significance of critical practice. In keeping with the university’s COVID safety guidelines, the physical installation of the 2021 MFA thesis show in Graphic Design was on view April 22–28, 2021 to current members of the School of Art community in the school’s Green Hall Gallery. Information pertaining to All at Once can be accessed in the school’s developing exhibitions archive.

About the Yale School of Art

A full-time faculty of working artists in conjunction with a diverse cross-section of accomplished visiting artists collaborate to design a program and foster an environment where the unique talents and perspectives of individual students can emerge and flourish.

The school currently offers graduate degrees, and undergraduate-level art courses to Yale College students, in the areas of graphic design, painting/printmaking, photography, and sculpture.
