You will head the BA Fine Arts degree programme and the Fine Arts section of the MA Contemporary Arts Practice and will be responsible for managing the degree programmes in terms of concept, content, administration and organisation. You will promote open dialogue with a committed and loyal teaching team, develop future-oriented strategies for the degree programmes offered and teach current trends and discourses in fine arts and their role in society with a particular focus on new-generation artists. You will position the degree programme in the Swiss educational landscape and in the national and international art and cultural scene and represent it both outside the university and internally on the governing bodies of the Design and Fine Arts Division and the Y Institute. You will be responsible for student acquisition and the budget and will work in the interests of the development of the university within the governing bodies.
Each position is split 60–70% between management and teaching.

Profile
This vacancy comprises an artistic and a theoretical role and, as such, is specifically aimed at teams. Preference will be given to applications from teams of two (at least one female). You have active, demonstrable expertise as an artist with an independent body of work or active, demonstrable expertise as an art critic, theorist or curator. You have excellent knowledge of current developments in the national and international field of contemporary art and bring with you an established network. You act inclusively and have well-developed social skills, experience of both teaching and management and keen conceptual, organisational, and communication skills. You are well acquainted with the Swiss and international university landscape in the field of fine arts. You speak fluent German and have a good knowledge of English and French.
