CROSSROADS, Building the resilient city

The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021 will be held from September 16 to October 31. Seoul Biennale will seek to develop a forward-looking vision of the city of tomorrow under the theme of CROSSROADS, Building the resilient city. Seoul Biennale is the one for suggestions that explore the future of the city we live and harmony that interacts with cities. It will serve as a platform for sharing a wide range experiences of cities around the world through the sections Thematic Exhibition, Cities Exhibition, Global Studios, Guest Cities Exhibition, Seoul Exhibition and Live Projects. Also, it will intend to bring together various perspectives and strategies in order to reflect on the city as a more sustainable, resilient and comfortable place for its inhabitants.

Seoul Metropolitan Government starts D-100 event for the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021
The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021, which will be held under the theme of CROSSROADS, Building the resilient city is now only 100 days away. The D-100 event took place at Seoul Hall of Urbanism & Architecture on June 8. The purpose of the event was to put all the efforts on preparations for the Seoul Biennale, promising to make the Biennale a success. 

Around 50 individuals attended for the D-100 event, including stakeholders from Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Biennale General Director, curators, operations committee and others. The event began with welcoming speeches from the Mayor of Seoul Metropolitan Government, followed by the introduction of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021. Also, Letter of Intent Exchanging Ceremony for Cultural Exchange of Architecture and Urbanism from the participating countries was conducted.
