PULSE New York will run concurrently with The Armory Show from February 22 through 25, 2007, taking place at the 69th Regiment Armory Building located at East 26th Street and Lexington Avenue. In its second year, PULSE New York will feature high-quality works from 63 established and emerging galleries from 15 countries, including additions from Israel, China and Korea. Thirteen of the exhibiting galleries were chosen through an open application and selection process by the PULSE committee members to exhibit in the IMPULSE section.

PULSE New York returns after the record-breaking sales and near-double attendance that PULSE Miami had in December 2006, which drew close to 12,000 attendees, including major collectors and art patrons. The fair was recognized for its increased diversity, ambitious installations and manageable size. Artinfo.com praised PULSEs second appearance in Miami, stating, The auspicious debut of PULSE Miami last year quickly pushed it into the top tier of must-see fairs, and its second outing only added to its favored status. The Wall Street Journal focused on the quality of works at PULSE compared to other fairs, You had only to go to the independent PULSE art fair, near the Design District, to get a shock of pleasure at wonderful work by established but non-celebrity artists. In addition, The Baer Faxt, the art-world newsletter, reported that PULSE Miami had been voted by its readers as having tied with Art Basel Miami Beach as the best fair for 2006, an extraordinary accomplishment for a still relatively new endeavor in the art market growing landscape.

About PULSE Contemporary Art Fair:
PULSE is an invitational contemporary art fair held annually in New York and Miami. It presents high-quality artworks in an environment that serves both seasoned and emerging collectors. The format of the fair is based on a select choice of galleries invited by the PULSE Invitational Committee. The fair was created in response to the increasing numbers of galleries and growing collector base in the contemporary art market. It provides a friendly, highly selective and innovative context for all of its constituents.
